Washington Leak Detection LLC dba Simply Leak Detection ("Simply Leak Detection," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit simplyleakdetection.com (the "Site"), call us, or request our services, how we use that information, and the choices you have.
By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us.
When you fill out a form, request a quote, or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide - typically your first and last name, phone number, email address, service address or general location, and any details you include in your message. If you become a customer, we also keep records related to the service we perform for you.
Information collected when you call.
When you call one of our phone numbers, we and our call-tracking provider may collect the phone number you called from, the date, time, and duration of the call, your general geographic area, and, where applicable, a recording or notes from the call. See "Call tracking and recording" below.
Information collected automatically.
When you visit the Site, we and our analytics and advertising partners automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, the site or ad that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits. See "Cookies and tracking technologies" and "Analytics and advertising."
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send us any through the Site's forms.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and provide quotes and services;
- schedule, perform, and follow up on leak detection and related work;
- send you service-related communications and, if you have opted in, text messages;
- measure and improve our marketing, including which ads and search terms lead people to contact us;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Call tracking and recording
We use a third-party call-tracking service (currently CallRail) to understand which of our marketing efforts lead to phone calls. This service may display a unique phone number on the Site, and it collects information about calls as described above.
Calls to or from Simply Leak Detection may be monitored or recorded for quality, training, and marketing-measurement purposes. Washington is an "all-party consent" state, which means everyone on a call must consent to being recorded. If we record a call, we will tell you at the start of the call; by continuing the call after that notice, you consent to the recording. If you do not wish to be recorded, please let us know and we will accommodate you.
Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies - deployed both directly and through Google Tag Manager - to make the Site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. Cookies are small files stored on your device.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Note that some parts of the Site may not function properly if you disable certain cookies.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on site, and general location, and uses cookies to do so. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Ads, remarketing, and interest-based advertising.
We advertise through Google Ads and use Google Analytics Advertising Features. This means:
- We use conversion tracking to measure actions taken after someone clicks one of our ads (for example, submitting a form or calling us).
- We use remarketing, which allows Google to show our ads to people who have previously visited the Site as they browse other sites, apps, and services across the Google Display Network and YouTube.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as advertising cookies) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on someone's past visits to the Site.
We do not combine information that personally identifies you with this advertising data unless you have given us permission to do so.
Your advertising choices.
You can control the ads you see and opt out of interest-based advertising through:
- Google Ads Settings / My Ad Center
- Digital Advertising Alliance
- Network Advertising Initiative
- YourAdChoices
For more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages from us - for example, by providing your mobile number and agreeing to be texted - we may send you appointment, service, and account-related messages, and, where permitted, occasional marketing messages.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help.
We do not sell or share your mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Consenting to text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and provide our services, including with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf - for example, our website host, form and CRM/scheduling software [e.g., Housecall Pro], call-tracking provider, analytics and advertising partners (such as Google), and communications providers - who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us;
- Professional advisors such as our accountants, attorneys, and insurers;
- Authorities or others when we believe disclosure is required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Simply Leak Detection, our customers, or others;
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business assets.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and resources (for example, water utilities and government agencies). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy - including to provide services, maintain business and tax records, and comply with our legal obligations - and then delete or de-identify it.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
