Our Story
Simply Leak Detection started in 2010 when Michael Fend had some water leaks on his property - and out of curiosity, he wanted to learn more about the process of locating leaks and ended up purchasing his own equipment to locate them. He quickly realized that there is no silver bullet tool that can find every leak, and there was a lot more to learn. Intrigued, he continued to learn more and eventually started a business to help others locate their leaks. Over 15 years of learning through professional training, experimentation, and trying many types of equipment to see what works best, he developed unique processes that have allowed Simply Leak Detection to become the go-to company for many plumbers, homeowners, and commercial property owners in the Seattle area - known for highly accurate locates and great customer service.
In 2025, Lincoln Spencer bought Simply Leak Detection and is a hands-on owner, bringing the company into a new phase of modernization and growth. Lincoln grew up working in his family’s business maintaining apartment buildings, learning about plumbing as well as how to fix just about anything. He is a bit of a “jack of all trades”, having worked in IT, started a motorcycle parts business, and managed teams across a variety of different functions at Boeing. Lincoln brings a high degree of curiosity and after learning leak detection from Michael has been continuing to innovate processes and equipment used in the company.
The company is growing, now with 3 technicians - and Emily continues to provide excellent office support, helping efficiently quote and schedule jobs.
